Deus Cafe

Hout Bay is home to many great bars but not many of them are as stylish as Deus Cafe. They tick all the boxes, offering multiple experiences at the Homestead of Perpetuity. Offering a large variety of beers on tap, cocktails, tasty locally inspired food, custom-built bikes by Stoos Customs, surfboards shaped by Anton Butler, and a barber all under one roof.

Walking in you are transported into the world of Deus Ex Machina. Even with the homestead being a heritage site and being limited to renovations, they have still managed to create somewhat of a masterpiece. Decked out in light and dark woods, with doors leading to cozy dining spaces, an outside patio to enjoy the sun or you can even opt for a small table next to the bar. Their drink options are extensive and offering something for everyone while their kitchen serves up some truly delicious items. It’s the type of bar where you say you’ll go for one but end up spending the day!
