Barrington’s Brewery

Superbly crafted and deliciously tasting beers at Plettenberg Bay’s very first craft brewery. A small hotel, the Kitchen Garden Restaurant, and a brewery all under one roof offering a beautiful setting for a day of beer tasting.

Situated in the town of Plettenberg Bay, Barrington’s is somewhat enchanting, with beautiful gardens, magnificent views, and an ethos dedicated to sustainability. All of this adds to the calm and peaceful ambiance that oozes from every aspect. Barringtons’ Bar which is clad in brass and leather, with beautiful wood finishes and a view of the vats, gives it a warm sophisticated feel. The bar counter is 6 meters long and made of marble adding that extra element of class.

The onsite brewery headed up by the master brewer, Marcus Meunier, has created 4 beers for you to enjoy – a Larger, Weiss, English Ale, and an American Rye Pale Ale. They also brew select seasonal beers which are very limited and always delicious. All beers are available on tap which can also be enjoyed in a tasting. At the bar, they have a selection of local and international craft spirits, whiskies, South African wines, and a limited cocktail menu for you to enjoy. The food menu has loads to choose from, with an elevated selection of tasty tapas, beautifully plated, and pair extremely well with their beers giving you the ultimate brewery experience.

Barrington’s do not take bookings but if by chance you arrive and are unable to get a seat, they will find a place for you to relax and serve you a drink while you wait. For the peacefulness, tranquillity, and delicious beer we cannot recommend Barrington’s Brewery enough.
