Simon’s Bar is a hidden gem in the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay along the Bitou River. Staying true to the character of the river, the bar has been beautifully decorated, with walls covered in vintage boat motors and old water sports equipment. Everything about Simon’s Bar exudes relaxation, the staff are attentive and friendly and the scenery is lush and green which creates a perfect ambiance for a hot summer’s day drink.

The bar stocks a great selection of South African wines and a mean cocktail menu for the more adventurous. On the food side, Simon’s offers what we consider the best pizza on the Garden Route, and if you don’t believe us then we suggest you try it out yourself. Simon’s Bar is a great place to park off with your feet up, sipping on a cocktail and watching the sun go down over the Bitou River. Come night time the vibe does pick up and the bar gets busier so stick around if you are looking for a lil more fun to end your day.
